Privacy Policy for Bulk Image Downloader

Bulk Image Downloader is a Chrome extension that finds and downloads the full-size images behind thumbnails on web pages you choose to scan. This policy explains what the extension does with data. The short version: everything happens inside your browser, and nothing is sent to us.

What the extension accesses

• Page content of tabs you scan. When you click Scan, the extension reads the image and link URLs on that page to find full-size files. It only runs on the tabs you selected.
• Network requests to the image hosts. With "Verify" enabled, the extension sends HEAD requests directly to the sites hosting the candidate images to confirm they are images and to read their size. These requests go to those sites only, using your browser's normal cookies, exactly as if you had opened the image yourself.
• Your list of open tabs. The bulk dashboard shows tab titles and URLs so you can pick which tabs to scan.
• Downloads. Files you select are saved through Chrome's download manager into your Downloads folder.

What is stored

Only your preferences: filter settings, the folder name, and the last-used options. They are stored locally in Chrome's extension storage on your device and can be cleared by removing the extension.

What is not collected

• No personal information, browsing history, or page content is collected or transmitted.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
• No requests are made to any server operated by the developer.
• No data is sold or shared with third parties.

Permissions explained

• Access to all websites: so you can scan any gallery site and so the extension can check image links on the sites that host them.
• Tabs and scripting: to list your open tabs and run the scanner in the ones you tick.
• Downloads: to save the images you select.
• Storage: to remember your settings.

Your responsibility

Download only content you have the right to save. The extension does not bypass logins, paywalls, or access controls; it can only reach what your browser can already reach.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
